Amazon Associates Required Statement
The following statement is required verbatim by the Amazon Associates Operating Agreement. It must appear clearly and conspicuously on our website.
“As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.”
Source: Amazon Associates Program Operating Agreement & Associates Central Help (amazon.com/associates/help) — This exact statement is required and may not be substituted or paraphrased.
Jump Starter Hub (jumpstarterhub.com) is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
As an Amazon Associate, Jump Starter Hub earns from qualifying purchases made through affiliate links on this site. Our Amazon Associates tracking tag is jumpstarterhub-20. When you click an Amazon link on our site and make any purchase within the Amazon session cookie window, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you.
Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc., or its affiliates. Jump Starter Hub is an independent website and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon.com, Inc.

FTC Endorsement Guides Compliance
The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requires that any material connection between a content publisher and a brand or product be disclosed clearly and conspicuously under 16 CFR Part 255 — the FTC Endorsement Guides (most recently revised 2023).
Under the FTC Endorsement Guides, a material connection is any relationship between an endorser and a brand that could affect the weight or credibility consumers give to the endorsement. This includes — but is not limited to:
- Affiliate commissions — earning money when you buy through a link
- Free or discounted products received for the purpose of review
- Sponsored content or paid partnerships with brands
- Employment or family relationships with a brand being reviewed
- Other financial benefits including store credit, early access, or gifts

Jump Starter Hub has material connections that readers should be aware of. These connections include:
- We earn affiliate commissions from Amazon.com and other retailers when readers click our links and make purchases
- We may receive free products or review samples from manufacturers to facilitate testing and review (see Section 8)
- We display advertising through Google AdSense and potentially other ad networks (see Section 4)
Per FTC requirements, these disclosures are placed clearly and conspicuously — at the top of articles, near affiliate links, and on this page — so readers can evaluate their significance before engaging with our recommendations.
Maximum FTC civil penalty for non-disclosure: $53,088 per violation (as of 2025, adjusted annually for inflation). We take compliance seriously.
What “Clear and Conspicuous” Means in Practice
The FTC requires that disclosures be impossible to miss. Our disclosures meet this standard by being:
How We Earn Money — Complete List
Full transparency about every revenue stream that currently exists or may exist on this site.
Amazon Associates Affiliate Program
When you click a product link on this site that points to Amazon.com, and you make a purchase during that shopping session, we earn an advertising fee. The commission rate varies by product category — typically 1% to 10% of the sale price, with most jump starter and automotive accessories earning approximately 4–4.5%. The commission is paid by Amazon, not added to your purchase price.
You are not charged more by using our links. Amazon pays us from their own margin on the sale.
Amazon programs we participate in:
International links may use Amazon OneLink to route visitors to their local Amazon storefront. Commission is earned if available in that territory.
Display Advertising (Google AdSense & Ad Networks)
This website may display advertisements served by Google AdSense and/or other display advertising networks. We earn revenue when these ads are shown (CPM/impression-based) or when readers click on them (CPC/click-based).
We do not control which specific ads are served — ad targeting is determined by Google’s algorithms based on page content, visitor browsing history, and other factors. We are not responsible for the content or accuracy of third-party advertisements.
See Section 4 below for our full AdSense disclosure.
Sponsored Content & Brand Partnerships
Jump Starter Hub does not currently accept sponsored content, paid reviews, or paid brand placements. All product reviews and recommendations on this site are produced independently by our editorial team without compensation from the brands reviewed. If this policy changes, we will update this disclosure and clearly label any sponsored content with a prominent “Sponsored” label at the top of the post.
Google AdSense & Display Advertising Disclosure
Required disclosures for participation in Google’s advertising programs.
jumpstarterhub.com uses Google AdSense, a service provided by Google LLC, to display advertisements. Google AdSense may use cookies and web beacons to collect information about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide relevant advertisements about goods and services that may interest you.
Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or by visiting aboutads.info.
In addition to or instead of Google AdSense, Jump Starter Hub may use other display advertising platforms such as Ezoic, Mediavine, or Raptive. If and when additional ad networks are used, this disclosure will be updated to name them specifically. All third-party ad networks used on this site will be disclosed on this page.
In-Post & In-Content Disclosure Policy
How and where you will see our disclosures within articles, reviews, and buying guides on this site.
Standard In-Post Disclosure Text
Every article on this site that contains affiliate links will display a disclosure similar to the following at the top of the content, before the first affiliate link:
Link-Level Disclosure Compliance
Amazon’s Associates Central and the FTC both require link-level disclosures — a disclosure immediately near each affiliate link, not just a site-wide disclosure. We implement this through:
- A disclosure box at the top of every article containing affiliate links
- The label “(affiliate link)” or “#ad” adjacent to individual product links in the body text
- Amazon product buttons labeled with “#CommissionsEarned” or “(paid link)” where space permits
- A footer disclosure statement on every page of the site
What Our Disclosures Will Never Do
- Be placed only at the bottom of long articles where readers may not scroll
- Use the same color as the background or a font size smaller than body text
- Require a click or hover to become visible
- Use ambiguous language like “in association with” or “visit our partner” without clarifying a financial relationship exists
Editorial Independence & Paid Placement Policy
How affiliate relationships do and do not influence our content — stated clearly and completely.
The existence of an affiliate commission does not determine which products we recommend. Our editorial team selects products to review and recommend based on spec quality, safety certifications, verified user feedback, value for money, and independent research — not on which products generate the highest commission rates.
If we recommend a product, it is because our research indicates it is genuinely good for the reader’s use case. If we do not recommend a product, the lack of a commission opportunity is never the reason.
We publish negative reviews and “do not buy” recommendations when our research indicates a product is poorly made, falsely specced, or a poor value. We do not suppress negative content to protect affiliate commissions. A reader who avoids a bad purchase because of our review is a reader who trusts us — and that is worth more than a single commission.
Pricing Accuracy & Amazon API Compliance Notice
Required notice about how product prices are sourced and displayed on this site.
“Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply to the purchase of this product.”
This notice is required by the Amazon Associates Operating Agreement when displaying prices sourced from the Amazon Product Advertising API or manually from Amazon.com.
Prices displayed on this website — whether shown in product comparison tables, review cards, or article text — are sourced at the time of writing or from the Amazon Product Advertising API and may not reflect the current Amazon price. Amazon prices change frequently due to sales, promotions, demand fluctuations, and seller pricing changes.
Always click through to Amazon to verify the current price before making a purchasing decision. The price shown on our site is for general guidance only and is not a guarantee of the price you will be charged.
How We Handle Prices on This Site
- Where possible, prices are retrieved dynamically from the Amazon Product Advertising API — these update automatically but may have a delay
- Prices in article body text are set manually at the time of writing and may become outdated between updates
- We do our best to update articles regularly, but we cannot guarantee real-time price accuracy
- All prices shown are in US Dollars (USD) unless explicitly stated otherwise
Free Products & Review Samples Policy
FTC regulations require specific disclosure when products are received for free or at a discount for review purposes.
As of the date of this disclosure, Jump Starter Hub has not accepted free products, review samples, or complimentary units from any manufacturer or brand in exchange for coverage or reviews. All products covered on this site have been researched through publicly available specifications, manufacturer data, and verified purchaser reviews.
If this policy changes — and we begin accepting product samples for review — every such article will be clearly labeled at the top with a disclosure such as: “Disclosure: We received this product free from [Brand Name] for review. Our opinions are our own.”
Per the FTC Endorsement Guides, receiving a product for free — even without any obligation to post a positive review — constitutes a material connection that must be disclosed. This applies even if the product was unsolicited. We will disclose all such connections regardless of whether the product received a positive or negative assessment.
Your Rights & Choices
You have the right to opt out of personalized advertising and affiliate tracking. Here is how.
Some browsers include a “Do Not Track” (DNT) feature. Our website does not currently respond differently to DNT signals because there is no universally accepted standard for how websites should respond to such signals. Third-party ad networks and analytics tools on this site may independently honor or ignore DNT signals per their own policies.
